Get all the details inside.

Coinciding with an international film tour already underway, Anthill Films’ new mountain bike film Follow Me is will be available this week on DVD. While audiences are being blown away along the film tour, pre-orders are being sent out and if you don’t have copy yet, you can purchase Follow Me on DVD direct from anthillfilms.com right now. Follow Me is also available for purchase at select bike shops and on iTunes. As well, Anthill has just announced that the film will be available on BluRay in June 2010.

DVD and BluRay copies of Follow Me come with some cool extra features, including a behind the scenes look at making the movie and slideshows from the film by photographers Sterling Lorence, Harookz and Caleb Smith.

The video covers one of the highlights from the film – a beachside step-down that Cam McCaul did in Mexico while filming the Punta San Carlos segment with Matt Hunter and Geoff Gulevich.

The photography was the best Ive ever seen in a mtb movie and it surpassed my expectations constantly. There was so many "banger shots" that at times it felt like watching a trailer.
The cable and helmet cam shots were insane.

Only the audio was a big letdown, the songs simply didnt fit to the non stop action and the constant epicness of the shots. It always felt as if I was watching the anthill holiday trip 09 video with campfire soundtrack while I was in fact watching a visual supernova (couldve done without the bw/colorkey part, but I guess thats just my opinion) paired with some of the gnarliest riding. I wanted to be immersed in what I was seeing, really. But the audio always held me back. The last two parts worked for me though,

If you have a look at the trailer you see how it wouldve worked. Fast and well produced music, fat sound(!) and intense riding. If you end up with so much visual quality, the audio wouldve needed as much care.

Still gonna get it in HD though, the shots are epic and its definitely a must see for everyone.

Agreed the music was shit. I don't agree with people saying the visuals were good + bad music= good movie. It's a total package and if don't have one you got nothing. Also what the hell is up with the black and white section with the color key. Hello is this 2002? I would expect more from some professionals who are up to date with the times. Larock did that like 4 years ago. The movie was a huge let down in my opinion I've seen better VOD from kids on this site then paying to see that. Just my opinion though.

I really liked the Film, the music was sick!!!!!!!!!! Hunter's Section was off the hook with that punk tune. HIPBIKE it looks like you decided you didnt like the film before you even watched it, according to your comment history on your profile!!!

We all like different things for different reasons and we all don't have to like the same thing. That's the beauty of where we live. If all it takes is some fast music and few cablecams to get you excited then thats awesome. For me I need a little more. just getting tired of the formula.

yeah, I "PRE ORDERED" it, doesnt this mean i should get it on the day it is released. or the day after. they should know theshipping times to each country and ship them on the correct day for it to arrive in that country. it might be a day late or early but thats surely better than this!

Agreed, what a scam. I pre-ordered this months ago. Now I find out it's coming out on Blu-Ray next month, and I could have downloaded it for $9 on itunes. That's the last time I ever pre-order a mountain bike film.

Totally. Pinkbike keep us posted! I havent heard a thing since i ordered my DVD, and wonder if its even been processed or will ship at all.

But all the same i'm stoked to see it. I bought the collective the other week and it was pretty sweet... kranked revolve was a lot better though. I'm hoping Follow Me lives up to the hype.

was able to watch the SD version last night, damn that Red1 camera is amazing. I can't wait for the bluray version to hit the stores. Gee and Stevie's run down the awesome mountain somewhere in New Zealand was hella fast! Very nice cinematography, clearly they've outdone themselves.

Can't say the same for the music though, is it just me, or did Seasons and Roam have a better soundtrack? First time I watched those 2 videos I immediately liked a couple of songs from each, this time, none struck me. Oh well, it's not a music video anyway. F*ck yeah for the riding and film crew!!!

See I was afraid to say that I thought it was a little overhyped. Because I figured the tweens would go gangbusters and flip out at any viewpoint that isn't a full on boner for the movie. I enjoyed it, I really did. The music was surely different than what I was expecting. The movie in general was way too short for me. I will say I liked the second half of the movie miles more than the first half. And after Stevie and Gee's part it was like getting punched in the face when the credits just jumped up.

I thought it was a good movie, definitely better than Seasons in my opinion. However I kinda feel like these guys peaked with Roam - don't think they will ever top that one.
Music in this film is terrible though in my opinion.
You can buy stuff from the US iTunes store fairly easily if you are outside the US - see details in this thread here:

I'm with crashin on this one. I can't quite put my finger on it but it doesn't seem to have really memorable moments. It just feels like I've seen it all before somewhere else. Don't get me wrong, I thinks its a good movie but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. Roam is still at the top of my list.

Its some of the best-filmed riding of all time, yet it is massively let down by the music selection in my opinion. With the exception of the bike park segment, with its admittedly clichéd but ultimately effective choice, I just can't get into it properly.

Having said this, the riding and the filming absolutely blew me away! I cannot think of a more visually-appealing display of mountain biking in any other bike film. I will certainly be watching it over and over again.
